Dana Louise Tanner

Loving and Devoted Mother and Grandmother:

Dana Louise Tanner, 68 years of age, passed away of Pancreatic Cancer on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the home of her daughter and son in law in Garland, Texas. Although her home was with her son in Malvern, Arkansas. Dana was born November 4, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to the late Dan Jr. and Jo Evalyn Tanner. She was the youngest of two children, her brother Randall preceded her in death. The majority of her high school attendance was in Broken Bow, Oklahoma but she graduated fromSunset High School in Dallas, Texas. She continued her education with some college. Before she retired she had a diverse employment history.

Dana was a proud Baptist as well as a proud member of The Choctaw Nation. She loved her life in Arkansas; sitting on her porch swing looking out onto the landscape shared with the goats, ducks and wild life. Dana enjoyed playing Yahtzee, watching Lifetime movies, game shows, murder mysteries, spending time with her family and friends, showering her children and grandchildren with gifts, laughter and love. She was known for kindly making conversation and acquaintances everywhere. She will be remembered for her great cooking, along with being loving, caring, nurturing, generous, funny, and outspoken. Her greatest quality was her strength that kept her a diligent warrior until her last breath. Her recent philosophy was, “it is what it is.” Her family paid this tribute to her, “If you didn’t have the chance to know her, then you really missed out on a beautiful and wonderful woman.”

Dana leaves to cherish her loving memory: her two children, son Daniel Edward Ingram, daughter Shannon Dawn and son in law Warren Daniel Rembert. Four grandbabies, Danny and Nicole, Hilary, J.J. and Marisa. Her sister in law Dianna, niece Lana, great niece Laura, her chihuahua Ohwie and host of family and friends. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the home of her daughter and son in law.
